Went out Saturday and caught a quick limit. Wind was nice for once. Nothing big, but perfect for eating.

Went out Friday to Surside to test some new kayaks. Had a hard time finding the fish in my usual spots (slow outgoing tide). My coworker stopped at a spot i have passed up a million times in the same sitation to make a couple cast and ended up saving the day. Found'em.
And it made perfect sense after thinking about it of why they were there.

I gotta get out there and try again.

Weatherman got me. Thought I’d have about 4 hrs to trout fish. Got about an hour in and the wind came. Caught 4 decent fish before I had to go chase bay carp- Reds were thick and shallow in the mud flat. I’m ready for some calm mornings when I can throw some skitterwalks

It’s not wading wet that gets cold, it’s the wet boat ride afterwards!

Man, I can smell that mud coming right thru my screen!

I went out this afternoon and focused on trout fishing. Found them on shoreline drops throwing voodoo and marker 54- Not fast but caught about 7 solid 18-21 inch fish in 3 hours.

It was a slow grind but feels good to catch a few trout instead of bay carp
