    Euro mounts are a pain

The bones in the nasal cavity always give me trouble. I've been using a pressure washer to clean most of the skull but the delicate nasal bones are always frustrating. I dont see how taxidermists turn them out so quickly and well done.

Spouse uses these for removing the cartilage and then cleaning around the bones.
Kitchen tweezers are also used a lot, his are 12 inches long I think.

Yes and folks wonder why taxidermists charge so much for them.
For nasal cartilage I use a some long reach pliers I got at an auto parts store. I think they are 11”.
I do use a pressure washer and have managed not to destroy nasal cavities. Just takes practice.

Get a pair of straight nose and curve nose medical hemostats. Cheap and awesome

You can get them at the pot weed store.

I always use Van Dykes boiling-bleaching kit and it removes a lot of it. When it’s time to remove the nasal mess, I start out using the air compressor to blow it out and then use my dental tools I purchased. Hopefully this will help

If done correctly, the nasal bones should stay intact and IN the skull.

Just ordered a pick set and long tweezers, thanks folks for the advice. Small finicky jobs aren't my thing so hopefully these will help out.

From what I have observed the spouse doing, if the skull has simmered long enough the cartilage will pull right out and not leave much other stuff to clean . He just uses a nozzle on the water hose for the nasal area after pulling the cartilage out.
The pics and tweezers get used all the time on various parts of the skull.

I agree Sitka, euros are a pain if you are not set up to do them.

I just did one yesterday. Pretty easy, just takes some time. Clean the head, most of meat off, let it soak in water with dawn dish soap and baking soda for about 10-12 days. Boiled in dawn and baking soda at a low simmer for two hours, minimal scraping. Turns out good.
