Colorado or NM Mule Deer Guide/Outfitter Recom ? Who to Avoid ?

Looking for suggestions for guide and outfitter recommendations for top-notch Mule Deer guides in either Colorado or NM. Prefer someone that has some private land available.

Also, please tell me who to avoid if you have had a bad experience or know someone who had a bad experience.

    Thanks all for your input.

I hunted with Pete's crew from 505 Outfitters. I don't have a wealth of knowledge about them but will say they have a great internet reputation. They also have private land in northern NM and access to private ranches throughout the state.

I hunted with them in southern NM this year in a marginal public land unit and we went 1 for 2. Both saw deer but my partner was range limited to 300 yards and couldn't close the distance in the wide open burn we hunted. I shot my deer at 640 yards on day 5. Both guides hunted hard and were glued to glass day light till dark.

Tim Andrews at Gypsum Creek Outfitters near Gypsum Colorado. Tim is a great guy who will hunt hard. He lives and hunts in a trophy mule deer unit but has access to land owner tags. You won't be disappointed. Look up Gypsum Creek Outfitters on Facebook or Instagram.

Give Bridger Petrini a call in New Mexico. He has ground in NM and Colorado with BIG mulies and is a great guy. Not cheap, but BIG mulies are not cheap!!

Sent you a PM on one to avoid.

I hunted with Comanche Wilderness Outfitters last November. Of my three Eastern Plains bow hunts, it was my favorite even though it was the only one on which i did not kill a buck. Lots of deer and several good opportunities, just couldn't seal the deal.
