    Well help

So I have a 3000 gal storage tank with a pipe that runs through a valve to my pump. Out of the top of the pump I have a pipe going to a small pressure tank, a faucet and one to our cabin. I am getting water to the pump. I can not get any pressure on the gauge or to the faucets in the cabin. If it turn the cabin valve off I still am not building up pressure it get some pressure out of the faucet. Worked fine before the freeze. There are no visible leaks in the well house. Did my pressure tank go bad?? Any ideas on probable cause would be appreciated!!

    Well help

Have you checked the air pressure of the pressure tank?

2 lbs less than your kick on pressure.

Does the pressure pump kick on?

I just have the one pump and it runs continuously now but the pressure gauge shows 0. There is water coming out the faucet with pretty good pressure.

I’m guessing the pressure gauge is still frozen or DOA. With the pump running continuously, sound like a leak on the tank or the water line.

Sounds like your check valve is not working causing you to loose pressure the opposite way of your pump.

Might have lost the motor to pump coupling. You could put an amp
meter on the wires and determine if the motor has a load or is just spinning.

After checking everything out it turns out it was the impeller and diffuser. Bad thing is I can’t buy a new diffuser so have to get a new pump.

That was going to be my guess. Impeller froze and motor output shaft sheared off of it.
