    N.A.P....Thoughts

Not looking to start a debate wether Brand A or X is better. (Though it's prolly gonna happen). I was just wondering about opinions on the the new Freedom Rest and The Blood Runner...

New Archery Products has been leading the way in broadhead design and archery accesessories for over 40 years.

Sorry I can't get the images up. My comp has been attacked by a virus. Probly from Obamanites since I have terrorist organizations on my desk top such as S.C.I., NRA, and yes all the Gun & Bow toatin' Bible Thumpin Bunch of TBH...

Maybe sumbody can post a pic or two for us...

It was actually made by somebody lese several years back. I forget the name of the company. N.A.P. bought the rights to the design. It looks interesting. It's a fixed blade that just gets bigger on impact...

I've always been a fan of NAP broadheads. Used the Spitfires for years, killed my bear with a Crossfire and have killed stuff with the Nitron and Thunderheads. Probably been more animals killed with Thunderheads than anything else. I'd be curious to hear anyone's experiences with the Bloodrunner as well.

I installed a Freedom rest on my bow last weekend. Easy to install and very little tuning. No tie in. Makes a loud click if you manually drop the rest (not let down the arrow but manually turn the head to the down position). I couldn't detect any noise at an indoor range or in the yard when practicing with it. Groups are nice. I have to beleive that it steals some FPS the way the arrow drags across the top of the head but cannot quantify it. So far I am happy with it. I am even more happy that it is only $50.

The Bloodrunner looks cool. I like the fact that it is a killer even if it doesn't "open" not many mechanicals can claim that. Interesting design.

The bloodrunner design is awesome in its simplicity. I will be trying them this year.

I talked to NAP today. It takes a pound and a half to open it. It is spring loaded so you can shoot it thru mesh and it may open but it closes right back. He said they have hand pushed it thru real deer lungs and just that resistance causes it to push open to the inch and a half cut. I was told it flies great at high speeds and works well with The Speed Hunter Quick Spins and got him to admit that Blazers work well with it. We also talked about minimum KE. He said the only consideration was that it is one and a half inches. I asked about a setup producing about 45foot lbs for whitetail size game and the response was it would be excellent from that KE range upwards for that size game. Think Ima try em my dang self........

It looks awesome. For me though, I already have field point accuracy and massive wounds with the 2 blade Rage I use. Not to say I wouldnt try them for the heck of it. That 2 blade rage doesn't always pass through and this might be a nice alternative.

I"m a big rage fan but I'm gonna give these a try. Do they sell replaceable blades yet? That was big problem with the Rage when they came out...the replacement packs weren't available for quite some time.

I think the bloodrunner looks pretty sturdy. I am gonna try some this season.
