I have 2 Daikens that are over 10 years old. Haven’t had any issues with either one.

LG if it’s a Heat pump with more than one air-handler on the single condenser
If it’s a single air handler to Condenser, Mitsubishi
I’m an LG VRF rep and those are my recommendations
We work on all them at work.

Those are going to have the most readily available parts, but they still aren’t “readily available”. Maintenance is key with these. Cleaning filters is critical. And the blower wheel is going to grow mildew, it’s a guarantee. Keep that as clean as you can along with cleaning the outdoor unit and you should be fine.

I install Mitsubishi and hardly ever have parts break. When they do go out it’s usually a board, and that always seems to be after lightning storms, so spend a little extra and out in a surge protector and you should be good to go.
Spot on. I have sold mini splits for over a decade. Mitsubishi is very good, but seemed to be the worst at getting the mold buildup on the blowers for some reason. They also have the best tech support hands down. LG is ok, but be ready to wait a month to get a part from Japan. I like Daikin the best personally for reliability and parts availability locally.
Stay away from the DIY brands. I cringe every time one of my techs has to run a service call on one.
