Steamboat bills for seafood and there is a brewery called crying eagle brewery and it was good. Both food and drinks. Also check out the new Horseshoe casino formally Isle of Capri. They just opened it up 2 weeks ago.

Darrell's-Make sure and ask for the jalapeño mayonnaise. They have the best sandwiches in a sports bar atmosphere. It’s a local joint.

All other recs are legit as well.

Drive a couple miles down the hwy and go to In-laws. Good boudin cracklins and fried ribs. Rickenjaks has live music often.

                        Food

                        Luna
                        Mazens
Darrel’s been mentioned, but I’ll be more specific - Darrel’s special with jalapeño mayo add shrimp
In-laws at exit 41(Iowa) - gotta try the fried ribs!
                        Nina P’s
Kyoto (hibachi) in Sulphur (exit 108) is fantastic!
Mama Reta’s - most like pawpaw’s gumbo I’ve found. Best restaurant gumbo I’ve ever had.

Full disclaimer : only eaten at Kyoto once but had a 70’s aged Japanese man cook for us. I’ve had a lot of hibachi over the years. Never had a better hibachi meal. Might be more to do with the authentic (seemingly) chef than the restaurant itself.
