    Can Am Defender

Has anyone had a problem with the Visco Lock in the front end? Buddy has a brand new one with an issue, not bashing just curious.

No problems when I had my Outlander ATV but I can tell you that sometimes it will take a little bit to engage. If you turn the key on without the engine running and then turn on the 4wd, you will hear it engage.

I have a 2023 Defender Max Limited on order that should be in next month. The one thing I wish CanAm would put on all of them is a true locking front differential.

Apparently when they fail you get a grinding noise in front end.

100% agree on the locking diff. I had a Commander 1000 prior to my Defender HD10. We’ve had a few more in the family as well. Our only complaints come from the lack of true locking differential. Especially when we head up north to ride for a week at a time.

That's why I got a xmr, they have a locking diff.
