I hope so, sold my car a couple months ago when dealers were still giving way more than it was worth and have just been waiting for things to come down to get a new one. Not paying $90k on a tahoe when sticker is $64k
I've been saying for years that companies only build things to generate those easy payment plans that set up cash flow for the company. As for the car problem, yep, it is going to happen. It will also happen to a smaller degree in the farm equipment market. Our government doesn't help when they attempt to forgive debt, which is really a cost shift much like Obamacare is just a cost shift. Cash is king. Stay away from the car dealership and jewelry store and build you pile of cash. Buy stuff only when it is a bargain.
Very plausible. He compared this to the 2008 housing debacle when people, who couldn’t afford their homes to begin with, started getting foreclosed on. I took advantage of that and now live in a house that I was able to purchase for half its value. Both corporations and government are great at taking advantage of those who don’t understand simple finances.
One persons loss is simply another persons gain! Money/wealth/assets never go away they just change hands. Be ready to capitalize if it is in your purview.
Our whole credit/monetary system is one giant Ponzi scheme in action. IMHO the entire thing will collapse in the future and I believe things will get ugly. We now live in a credit based world. The 2008 fiasco will be just a hiccup compared to this new one. Just prepare yourself as best you can.
