    ASF / The Timer problem.

Feeder works perfect when tested. Even works when I set it for a few min ahead and wait.

But once I leave it quits feeding. When I return I can either hit test and it works, or set it 5 min ahead and wait, then it works.

    Makes no sense.

I replaced the timer, timer fuses, 12V batt, and timer wires. No difference.

Only thing not replaced were the AA Batts. Didn't have any with me. Plan to try that next trip.

Batt icon is flashing and ARM is displayed.

Anyone else seen this issue ?

    Thanks, D.

Id replace the batteries and try it. Was this a new one? I bought new ones 2 years ago and had lots of trouble because I tried using the cheap batteries that came with it. There was also something about a bad batch that had serial number starting with 91. I had mine replaced.

I have had a similar issue where it would test throw but then nothing. Replaced the batteries in the timer and no further issues. Hopefully its as simple as that. Good luck!

Agreed. Even though batteries have juice in them to work when you test, change them out. Oughta fix it!

It may be the motor windings. I’ve had one do something similar to that.

Do you have a eliminator plate on it ? Reason I ask is I have one on my ranch king feeder. It gets gummed up and will stop throwing. Will pass tests and so on. Me spinning it with my finger will keep it loose enough to work a few spins.

            Replaced. No more issues.

Replaced an old timer with a new timer and fuses. Had some off the wall Batts in it.
