    Electrical question

What would I ask for at a supply shop if I wanted to convert my 120v to 12v?
Is it simple called a converter?
I want to set up a spot to run my 12v diesel heater off house power if my battery kicks the bucket.

12DC, it typically runs off a car battery.
      Thank you

Id think something like this would work. Or you could get one with a different head.

I don't know how many watts the heater is. Why not just get a battery charger? Plug your battery into the charger and keep it charged?

Converter changes AC power to DC.

Inverter changes DC power to AC
