    Property Survey Cost

    I thought I would ask on here. We are trying to buy the property of my FIL's estate from my BIL and he is a being an *** about it. I have called some company's about a survey to find a price and they want all of this information and what not, just to give me a quote.

    The property is 20 acres in Gillespie County and has 3 structures on it. Does anyone have any knowledge or an idea of how much a survey like this could cost? Not looking for exact numbers, but an idea. Thanks for the help.

      Depending on how much time, bet it will be 4-6k.

        Lots of variables. Is it a rural tract? Fences? Can you find the existing corners? Is a creek the boundary line? 4 corners? Could be $1000 but probably closer to $3000 depending how complex. Get multiple quotes if you can.

        If he is that much of a pain, make him provide the survey. I have a deed plotter and can plot field notes if you are concerned about it being off.

          All depends.

          $500 to $8,000

          Super wooded? Last time surveyed, square track with 4 corners or odd shaped and 30 corners, flat terrain, creeks, location... All makes a difference.

          Type of survey matters also. Just boundary survey or detailed property survey (that shows all structures and locations etc.).
