    Suppressor Question

Quick question. Seems like a dumb one, maybe, but I’ll ask anyway.

If I’ve been running direct thread and sighted in my gun as such, then switched to a QD mount, would that effect zero at all? Would think no, but obviously I’m not 100%

only way to be sure is to go shoot it.

Certainly could; lots of variables. In my experience, the longer and lighter the barrel profile the more likely and significantly you'll experience POI shift from changes in end weight, fixtures, temp, accessory torque, etc.

The chances of it effecting zero are considerably higher than the chances of it not effecting zero. However it might be 1/4” or 2”.

It's all harmonics...bbl length / thickness will all have variables.

Us old 22 becnhrest shooters had weighted tuners on the muzzles of our guns & you could dial in bugholes to shotgun patterns with the same ammo...may not be your case, but what it's all about.

I would venture to say it’s going to be negligible but will affect it slightly.

I would shoot it for sure to verify. You are adding a component to your setup. Like Astro said, it’s all about harmonics.

I would venture to say there will probably be some movement to the point of aim. Depends on how particular you are. Some guys want their rounds stacked on each other. Other guys are happy with a two MOA group. If you are a two MOA guy then maybe you don't notice a difference. If you cloverleaf you rounds, I would venture to say you will notice a POI shift. My advice is that after any change you make you need to confirm with a few rounds.
