    Wilkinson County, MS

I know this is TEXAS Bowhunter, but I got an invite go with a buddy to what I've been told is big buck county in Mississippi. I'm not familiar with food plot hunting, but man I am jazzed up about this trip. I've heard the rut is just about in full swing over that way. Hoping to rattle some as well as make some stalks if possible.

Anyone Familiar with this area? I'll be planning to go live depending on service.

I don't know anything about MS hunting but I would recommend popping into M&M Hot Tamales in Woodville.

I grew up along the Mississippi River, but have never hunted in Wilkinson county. All of the counties along the river have big deer and lots of them.
Pretty much the whole county is forest. Not really suited for stalking though.
            Good luck!

Ahh, I gotcha. I'm looking forward to sitting over a food plot for sure.
