I'm only 64 so still young enough to ride a regular bike.

I use a regular bike on public land where I can to help cut down on the walk. I use my wife’s old bike and stash it in the weeds. That way it’s no big loss if someone needs it more then me. My buddies laughed at first (and still may be laughing behind my back)until they saw how much easier it is. very convenient on and off especially carrying a lot of gear on your back. Lol.

With the racks, I can carry my cooler, day pack and bow and make it to my blind in less time than my truck and a whole lot quieter. I’ve ridden past deer very close and they just look at me as I cruise by. 20 mph and a 20 mile range (longer if I use the pedal assist) and hills are not a problem. One thing, if you pedal, your going to sweat….I most often just use the power mode and get to the blind without unnecessary sweat and odor.

My only problem so far is flats. I probably need to spring for better tires because I've been through half a dozen tubes in 2 years.
Check out this thread I started when I got my bike. Good info on here and links to products for tire protection from flats.

If I can find a deal on one eventually I will, really need one for Hagerman as my draw points are stacking up now. Some places I hunt have banned them, the army corp fined some Hmong hunters I know on public last year. It must have been stiff because they have not come back this year and they were regulars for 5 years or more.
