Burnet county- lots and lots, just like every year. It is just part of the game in our neck of the woods.

Llano county is closed covered up. Hunters are are having hard time connecting.

Bastrop county- tiny little acorns everywhere. So thick it sounds like your walking on bubble wrap. Haven’t seen a deer since early October.

The most I have ever seen here in Brazos county. And still dropping. My feeders ran out of corn a couple of weeks ago, and I haven't put any in them. A lot of the corn that was left under them has sprouted, as nothing is coming to them.. Hogs are rooting the pasture up, but wouldn't touch the corn....

Last Wednesday I moved a stand in a white oak tree overlooking a trail with a scrape line. Have another white oak behind me and another kinda out in front of me. Most of the leaves had been blown off. I took my binoculars and looked at them. There were still hundreds of acorns on the trees. Usually by this time of the year, they have all fallen off.

This was the weekend before thanksgiving. I figure if the frost holds off a bit longer I might get to harvest a few ears.
