    2019 F150 problem

All of a sudden my pre-collision alert system and my cruise control are not working. Cruise control button does nothing and "pre-collision alert not working" light comes on every time I start the truck. Anyone else ever have this issue and how did you solve it? Thanks

Believe it or not, check your taillight lenses for water! I had very similar symptoms that started all at once while driving to the ranch... A/C went out, collision avoidance warnings, cross traffic alerts, all sorts of weird things... Turns out those collision sensors and such are located in the taillight housing and mine somehow got filled with water! Shorted the dang thing out. Replaced the taillight on the passenger's side, everything went back to working just fine... Same thing happened to 2 other buddies all with '18 or '19 F150 KR or Platinum's... NOW for the *******... That dang taillight assembly is $1000!!!!

Was bulb burned out or was it still working? Could you see water inside the lens? Just replace bulb? I heard there is a weird grounding issue with these sensors connected to tail lights.....makes no sense. How do you get lens cover off, I don't see any screws?

I don't see any water or even condensation in either tail light lens. Looks like I may be taking it to the dealer......UGH!

There is a sensor on the drivers side of the front bumper. It's under a cover. if it has been bumped or moved it can cause this concern.

How do you know if that’s the issue? I took cover off and see squarish little black box. Now what?

Honestly clean the camera if there’s one on the front. That can be an issue. Even if it looks pretty clean. Any of the cameras in the truck I would clean before I looked further.

Yup, if I let my truck get too dirty it starts telling me the pre collision alert is turned off

Supposedly the camera is on the back of the rear view mirror. It’s clean and unobstructed.

Run it through a carwash a couple times. I'd bet its the sensor under front bumper. Mine did it.

I better never hear a ford dude talk crap again.

Camera is clear and carwash didn't work. Tried disconnecting battery for reset also. Didn't work.

Did you notice any pieces of plastic in the floor board in the drivers side?

There’s a bushing in the brake pedal for the brake switch. If it brakes it can cause that.
