It’s dang sure no ribeye! But good compared to geese or ducks! We sliced the breasts thin and marinaded and wrapped in onions and peppers and rolled up in bacon and grilled and my favorite was to BBQ the thighs. If your just breading out the cranes your missing out.
Everybody always talks about how good of eating crane are, but I haven’t found that to be the case. We get a pile of them up here in the panhandle, and to me they’re not very good. Lean and flavorless. They’ve got to be doused in marinade or sauce to be edible lol
Great tablefare. Just cook rare, med/rare. No need for marinade. Texture is just like beef. No fat like you stated.
Would love to have a bundle of flight feathers for fletching some wood arrows. Anyone want to clip a bunch with side cutters I would certainly pay the postage.
