    Muzzleloader Recommendations?

I'm supposed to go to Canada this year to hunt whitetails and may end up hunting during the muzzle loader season in Manitoba.

Anyone have experienced with a not-so-top-of-the-line inline muzzleloader that will perform well out to 150-200 yards? I don't know anything about them.

How are are they to load, clean, etc? How many different steps are there to loading/shooting?

Any budget-conscious suggestions would be appreciated.

Or just let me borrow one and I'll start a really cool thread when I get back:

Thanks a MILLION to __________________....BIG BUCK DOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are looking to get into muzzleloading as along term proposition, Knight is the only way to go. I have owned TC, Traditions, etc. and when it comes to accuracy, nothing touches a Knight.

I personally shoot a Knight Disc Extreme in SS w/a synthetic thumbhole stock and have made one shoot kills out to 180 yards and have planted some 500 lb plus animals in theiir tracks with it.

Heck, just give me a call or shoot me an email and I will tell ya wha I know from years of shooting them.

Jim Shockley uses the T/C ...kills everything!!!!!!

But,I've had a number of M/L's in the past and want to get one more....it will use shotgun[209]primers,and be a fast,I think 1-20 is recomender ,twist for use with sabot and the new type smokeless/black powder equivilant....I'd like SS or coated to minimize the exterior care, and synthetic stock, thumbhole prefered..

Thanks guys. I'm not sure if it's gonna be a long term deal or not. May just be a one shot deal.

Tim...I'll give ya a call tomorrow!

If you get a muzzle loader it wont be a short time deal. You will be hooked ! I bought me a remington genisis for Christmas and I love it. A inline muzzle loader with 209 primer will probaly be best for hunting. Have fun...
