    nilgai or scimatar hunts

Been thinking about going on either a nilgai or scimitar hunt any recommendations on where to go and pricing?

South Texas hunting at it's finest. We offer Nilgai Bull hunts, Scimitar Oryx and Whitetail hunt packages.

      King Ranch for Nilgai
Also Kayote Barrera, you can reach him on Facebook

For Scimitar I’d pick Clay Holly Pope. He can also be found on Facebook.

Of the 2 species which will produce the most meat, and which species has the best tasting meat?

I'd personally stay away from the Kayote guy.... Seemed super sketchy to to a couple years ago I had a hunt for a nilgai for my wife. Story changed every time I talked to him about when, where and how much land we would be hunting on.

4N ranch in San Angelo has both and good people to deal with.

Heard this before. Never personally had any issues. He has several places to hunt. I know a few TBH’ers that had great success with him.

Me personally I’d pay the money and go to the King Ranch for Nilgai. That’s my first choice.

Stay away from the King Ranch, it’s so corporatized. They want you to shoot the first thing you see and get off the property. I’ve herd several bad reports about their hunts from people which is what lead me to the HFF operation.

Feel free to PM me and we can talk on the phone if you want detailed info on HFF.

I consider Scimitar in the same class as Blackbuck, if you were to ask my opinion.
In other words, who gives a daggone. (jmo)

Both are really great tablefare but the Nilgai wins in the end.
