Best way to video

I finally broke down and bought a used dozer, i got lots of plans for clearing around stands and around the camp and possibly trying to dig a tank.
I want to video the projects, looking for camera recd, I thought go pro maybe
Or i guess it would be better from a distance on a tripod?
Any suggestions ?
So far ive done a lot of stuff over last 8 yrs and i look back and think i wish i had all this chronicalled on video some how

I'd mount a gopro on the dozer. I would recommend inside the cab if you can to keep it from getting smacked by limbs when clearing brush. When we cleared our place at home some of those limbs can come back with force. I'd recommend a DSLR type camera on a tripod if you wanted to do from a distance.
