We played golf in Canyon Lake a few years ago and the greens keeper was riding around with his pellet gun shooting them off the water.

I for one am glad to see the duck is still living. I do admit to getting a laugh out of these when the questioned fowl is DRT

Invasive suckers, used to be a couple around these parts.
Now they’re at every park it seems.
Pretty bird though.

Looks like he was commending you for asking for an ID first before its dead. He laughs at folks that kill and then ask....at least that's how I took it.
