Dads turn !! Well after getting Tyler his deer of his dreams it’s finally dads turn to hunt , this will be my only hunt of the 22/23 season . I got down to the ranch in dilly around 10 pm yesterday and got a goods night’s rest and am up and excited about finally hunting. These are the targets and hopefully one of them will follow the script for me , this is a MLD hunt and weapon of choice is my late father’s 3040 krag he built around the time I was born many many years ago, I’ve shot a lot of paper with the gun over the years but never killed a animal with it and figured it was time! This was his go to gun as he was very proud of it having built the stock and doing all the And making it a hunting rifle.

They didn’t show this morning but the wide 14 has been on cam the last two evenings so maybe he will show again, secretly I’m hoping the tall heavy ten shows but he has been MIA for the last two weeks.
