    The Bow Shop San Antonio

    So I have used Fred’s bow shop for years. But on Facebook there is a few complaining about him taking money for orders and running. I have nothing but good experiences there but people are saying the shop is cleared out and he’s long gone. I called the number today and his phone is disconnected.
    In the last two- three weeks he solved two problems for me I could not get fixed elsewhere. But I may have been one of the last lucky customers to go through there.

    The Facebook posts are pretty serious. He has been taking orders and now people are finding the orders we’re never placed.

    Not good if true.

    I’ve been seeing those post. My dad used to go to him all the time and loved his shop. Hopefully everything gets resolved, but unfortunately this is the world we live in.

        I've dealt with him a few times and have always had good dealings with them, hopefully everything is ok

                  I've been there once. I didn't really care for the way the guy acted toward me and my bow. It wasn't the brand he sold, so he kinda acted like a jerk about it.

                  I really like the guys and service from Mesquite Archery. It's a longer drive for me but they're really good and have treated me well. If you need a new bow shop in SA, I highly recommend them.

                    Yep it’s bad. What we’ve heard so far is at least 10 bow setups paid in full never received. Gift certificates recently sold, as much as $2000 for one. Mathews has been in contact with us, they are trying to recover something from him and if successful they’ll work through our shop for the customers but it doesn’t look good.

                      That’s strange! Every bow I have ever purchased, the set up and payment were done in same day while I was present. I told them what I wanted, they put it together Gladly, tuned it , paid for it right then and there- done deal! I wouldn’t do it any other way!

                        I got a bow from him years ago. No complaints but went to Scott and Javier at Mesquite Archery and never looked back. Good guys for sure. Really surprised to hear this, Fred seemed like a stand up guy…maybe health related?

                            Because it’s not the way you do it, doesn’t make it strange. I’m not ordering a bow for anyone without at least partial payment up front.
