    Hunting Doodles?

Does anyone on the green screen have or know of a Labradoodle / golden doodle that will hunt?

I like the no shedding part but want a dog that will at least have some prey drive...

I have a F1 labradoodle female that hunts.
We may have her bred one more time. I can look for a stud poodle that hunts if you’re interested.

My son has a Pudelpointer that is the best hunting dog I've ever been around. Not a "doodle". It's a versatile breed from Germany. Not many breeders in the US, but there are a couple in Texas. They all have long waiting lists for pups, and they ain't cheap. But Millie doesn't shed much at all, and she's a great family dog as well. If I was in the market for a dog, I'd get one like her.

Just got an F1 labradoodle pup. Anyone know of any good versatile gun dog trainers?

Muzzy will retrieve anything he can drag back and will go heads up with a bear (for just a few seconds. Lol)

Very smart and in over a year has not lost a single hair that I know of. It’s insane. ZERO SHEDDING!!!!

He’s a Cav-a-poo. Cavalier King Charles spaniel and poodle. I know he ain’t what you’re probably looking for…. But I’d put him against every labradoodle I’ve been around as a hunting dog and house dog

We have a golden doodle that is a great house dog. We also have two labs and I take them hunting. I couldn't begin to imagine how difficult it would be to get all of the debris out of the golden doodle's fur if she ever were to go hunting. The labs on the other hand could walk through the nastiest terrain on the planet and come out looking like they've just been to a groomer!

Yep they are pretty much velcro! Maybe they make a body suit like a wet suit to dress them in?

Check out Amy with Simply Southern Retrievers. She hunts with bad *** poodles and has dogs available from time to time.

We did a dove hunt with her.

Just get a standard poodle if you want the poodle traits. You can never be sure what type of coat you’re gonna get when you buy a cross bred puppy and some of the ones I’ve been around are hyper and still shed.

A ton of people hunt with the full size poodles and they are very intelligent.

The few hunting breeders I’ve seen do crosses that are 3/4 poodle 1/4 Labrador for several reasons but I don’t think that’s considered an F1

Standard Poodles were Hunting Dogs before they were Show Dogs!!

My wife has a Goldendoodle, sweet dog, but it can't even swim! My lab launches off the waterfall, pool furniture, grandkids.......as far out into the water as he can. Doodle is out there clubbing the water.
