I use the Recipe that is on the carne guisada mix from fiesta brand spices. After it gets cooked, I add a can of refried beans to it. Makes a great gravy.
Chlli powder (fiesta brand fancy light preferred)
Garlic powder
Cumin
Salt
Pepper
Lawrys
Accent
Salt
Heavy chilli powder lighter on rest. Depends on how much meat you’re using.
Boil water meat and seasoning, make a small rue with flower and mix in to thicken. I make roughly 40lbs every 3 days.

If making for a family of 4, what measurements of seasonings? For those not experienced in cooking can you detail the process some? With the amount you make it must be good
Get the Fiesta brand carne guisada swasoning from H‑E‑B and follow the directions on the bottle. The only thing I do different is I cook my meat overnight in the slow cooker. That makes it come out super tender. Oh, and I always make it out of venison stew meat.
I guess I am going to be the odd man out, as I tried the Bolner’s (Fiesta) Carne Guisada seasoning and didn’t care for it. Maybe I need to try it again. I really like most of their other offerings and use a bunch of them.
