    Auto mechanical question.

I've got a 1986 Suzuki Samurai that hasn't been started in almost 10 years. What do I need to do to get it started? Siphon fuel and put in fresh? Anything else?

Watch a couple of episodes of Vice Grip Garage on youtube. Getting vehicles started that have been sitting is what he does.

Make sure battery is charged and it has oil on the crank case.

      Any chewed or disconnected wires?

Might get a pop bottle full of gas and drill a hole in the lid. Use it squirt or spray some gas in intake. Spray like when you sneeze. Quick squeeze of bottle as you tilt it back

Order a fuel tank, sender, carb, and fuel pump.

Pull plugs and shoot some wd40 or similar and slowly work crank. And yea. Obviously fresh fuel. But probably would clear fuel lines and check the carb bowl for trash.

Once you are sure the motor is free and you have good oil in the crankcase, pull the coil wire and turn the motor over till you have good oil pressure. Then hook the coil back up and go from there.

Save yourself the hassle and sell it to me

Id change the oil, just use the cheapest you can find. Fuel as you said. Id pull pugs and add Marvel mystery oil or any light oil to the cylinders, be generous. Leave the plugs out. Then spin the motor over and it should blow the oil out of cylinders. Lubricating the cylinder walls and rings is the goal here. Put plugs in and try to start. Thats basics of what i do. I need to check for spark and other normal stuff as well
