Furnance experts, got an exhaust vent question

Fired up the furnance for the first time this morning. Starting making noises like stuff was hitting the fan.

I had this happen about 10-12 years ago and it was bird nest debris in the exhaust vent. I cleaned it out, but I'll be danged if I can figure out how I got the vent off the furnace itself.

Other than brute force, does anyone know a trick to separating the pipe. I've tried twisting and forcing it up and can almost get it past the furnance connection. maybe I just need to brute force it up??? ideas?

Maybe stick a screw driver in that little slot and pry down but honestly I don’t know

there is one screw in the hole you see. I was hoping after taking it out it would budge. Not much. I do need to clean it as well.

I think those little slots have tabs in there. Allow it to go down but not back up so it does not accidentally get disconnected. Only think I can think of

spoke with Ron(Airehead) and it is basically wiggling and twisting and convincing it to free up. No real tricks to it. Wish I remembered how I did it 12 years ago.

well, I convinced it undone. Was able to knock out some crap in the exhaust pipe. works more gooder now.
