    Muzzle Brake

Not really wanting to get barrel threaded just yet. One day plan to go full out with a Can.
Does anyone have experience with the clamp on type? Was looking at those made by Witt Machine. Going on a 300 Win Mag.

No experience with a muzzle brake, however, I did get a barrel mag ported for a 7mm.

It made a big difference on the recoil, but man, its insanely loud.

It does make them loud but way way nicer to shoot but I personally don’t shoot with out ear plugs anyway so the noise is not a problem for me

Never used one. I’m in the market for one as well. After some research, Witt Machine Tool Co seems to be a pretty popular brand. They make them custom to your barrel. You have to measure the end of your barrel with a micrometer and submit the results at checkout.

Just put a Witt on my 7mm.
Didn't notice it much louder while wearing my ears....
But after I shot it from stand....
Nope, I'm bringing ears to the stand now.
But definitely makes it much more comfortable to shoot.

If you’re planning on a suppressor, why not just get it threaded so you can run whatever you want?

This. Why waste you money on a clamp on brake when you are going to get it threaded anyway?
