Maybe get the tree huggers and bunny fornicators involved. They don't like losing habitat for their token animals causing them to starve and die.

Talk to the solar company about installing panels on your property too. $80-150 per acre per year for 35 years (life of the panels) will buy you a very nice ranch somewhere else
        $115 (avg of spread you quoted) x 150ac x35yrs = $603,750

Unless I am missing something in my math that is nowhere near enough to "buy a very nice ranch somewhere else"

Strong pass from me but maybe I just think $17k a year is not enough return to give up use of my land for the rest of my life

Plant some golden cheeked warblers and then make a phone call or two. That would shut them down.

Others were saying $6-700 per acre per year.

I read a lot of numbers but to me it's just heresy. Plus there's always a contract with parameters so how can ya'll compare numbers.

Solar fields are awful, best of luck to you.
Find local resistance group if possible.

675.00 per acre is the going rate on a 20 year lease, we have about 800 acres total that will be going into solar farm. It’s in row crop as of now, also the neighbor has a larger tract that is doing it as well so it was an easy decision.

I cannot stand the hideous looking pieces of crap..
He better make them buy the land because when the contract expires they pull out and the LO is stuck with all of the BS that gets left behind..

Figure even when they pull out. Rent a operator with a D6 and be right back to hay pasture. For $100 plus acre/year it would be hard to pass

Hope your hill is not on the south side of that property. You would get the reflection from all those "mirrors."

Can you sue for diminished property value?

Can you sue the methhead that puts a trailer house next to you?

Friend of mine is a large rancher. 2000 acre solar farm has been put in place on a pasture they own not far from Crockett. All power is for Tesla only!!!! They are very happy with the terms after loooong negotiations between lawyers.

Yes u can sue for anything....literally. Does not mean you will win or even slow the progress however.

I think there will be more of this in Tx due to the farmers and other land owners looking for ways to generate income.
