A dead deer and pink frothy blood tells the story. Perfect.

It looks like a perfect double lunged dead deer.

Terrible, just terrible….that I can’t make shots like that on every deer I kill

Tell your son to that’s a great shot!

Great shot! If I could walk up and put my finger where I want the arrow to hit on a complete broadside shot, it would be a couple inches forward in the deadly V. But that's not the case in the heat of battle. What a brute of a buck!

Some will say too far back because it’s not in the “deadly v” but that’s where I like to aim. Great buck!

If he hits every deer he ever shoots at in that exact same spot, he will never lose a deer.

Right in the void for sure. He will be back on camera.

Great job. Hope he got it on video.

If you are square to the deer, that’s dead every time !

This is right about where I've hit my deer the last three years. All high double lungs. All dead and easy to find.

I like the higher shots personally. Lungs go almost to the middle of the body once you are above the midpoint on a deer. So much room for error. Blood trails aren't great, but they are dead inside of 40-50 yards, so don't really need blood if you know how to track

That is in the Perfect zone! Anywhere within 2" of where he actually hit is just as perfect as it gets... well except I don't like to get low enough to hit the heart... Blood trails are shorter if you can get both lungs and miss the heart. For some reason, gun or bow, you punch out the heart, they seem to haul arse faster than they normally could run... yea they're dead in 15 seconds, but they can run 200 yards in 15 seconds... In the south Texas brush, that can be a real bad deal!

Oh yea, more pics of that buck!! He's a dandy too!! Tell you son congratulations on a fine trophy of a buck!!
