Yep. Treat the winnings with respect, and you got little to worry about. And get a good lawyer immediately before reporting to the Powerball commission LOL
How would you go about finding a good one in a rush? I'd be very skeptical of anyone, especially a lawyer. They burry those guys 10ft down instead of 6, because deep deep down they are good people.

LOL, you have 180 days to claim winnings. So you have time. Once you win, get a bank safety deposit box, put ticket in there along with a couple different forms of verification/backup, interview lawyers, and then sign an agreement within that window.
I'm pretty certain there was corruption last week when no winning numbers, or even 5 numbers were drawn. With record jackpot money millions more people were buying tickets and the odds of someone NOT having the right numbers was very slim, I would think. It was a ploy to get even more people to buy for last night's drawing and really blow up the money. Remember in gambling - the host will always make more than the winner.

Odd's are 1 in 292 million. Even if every grown adult bought numbers, and everyone's numbers was different, there is not enough citizens 18 and up to buy up all the numbers.
One thing I don't know in this case, can non-residents buy Powerball tickets? I don't think so, but I could be wrong.

They sold 230 million tickets just 11/5 week
So just buy every combo of numbers. Will cost you 580 million but you win 1.9 billion. What could go wrong?
in Texas lottery winners can remain anonymous. No one outside my immediate family would know if I won.
There would be a missing persons report on me. I'd go buy me a few ranches and boats. I'm taking applications if any of you guys would be interested in working on one of my ranches.
