Well, hit the target buck…

Well, I got my target book to come in tonight. Last five minutes of shooting light. Slightly quartering away. Shot looked to be good, as I drove it to offside shoulder. Did not get a pass through, but about 14 inches of penetration and good blood on the arrow. However, deer ran off about 100 yards. Sat there and looked back for a little while and slowly limped off. Gonna wait until the morning, I know the direction he headed and if he is alive would like to have a rifle in my hand. Feel like he should be dead but concerned with the way he walked off.

I’m up in the panhandle, we got a lot of rain today but it’s past us now. Also we’re under freeze warning up here so meet should last, biggest fear would be coyotes.
