45,000 is a lot. Maybe not relative to total numbers, but it's a lot for any one given model.

Did they offer them in a lot of colors? The only ones I’ve ever seen were white or silver.

Gray too. A buddy had one which we took out where they tested the FJ cruiser in Wyoming/Colorado.

Okay, great. Learned something new today.

I remember back in the 80's a buddy of mine had a Jeep Scrambler. I think it was a little longer than the standard Jeeps at that time. That thing would go about anywhere.

Here's a few pictures of a buddy's LJ Rubicon at Hidden Falls last weekend. 2.5 inch lift, 33" tires. His plan is to go up to 35's and do something with the fenders, maybe run without fenders.

That's the total number produced over the 3 year period. Break that number down per year model and each color and there are very few of them.

Ours is a 2005 in Flame Red and there were only 1,188 brought into the US for that year in that color.

The rarest of the rare is the 2004 LJ Sport in the Sienna color (maroon) it is a 1 of 1 model!!!

LJ’s a gold right now! I love my TJ but the extra room sure could be used!

Thanks! I don't get to drive it much!

Considering an aftermarket hard top, but for sure a 4 inch lift. its on 33s now with just a level. also has cheap steel wheels that I need to upgrade.
That one looks nice! What hard tops are you looking at?
Ours has a factory hard top, but it didn't come with it originally. Because of that, the rear defrost and wiper don't work (no power to it). My wife is looking at some of the aftermarket tops with the removable front sections, but she hasn't decided on anything yet.

She's just been buying lots of other parts! (She drank the koolaid!)

This is a lot...For comparison, Dodge is on track to make 12,000 Hellcat Chargers this year. That is less than those Jeeps made, and I don't think anyone considers a Hellcat a rare car. At least I don't know anyone claiming a Hellcat is rare.

I agree, it is certainly less. But I saw two on the way into work today. If someone is trying to sell you one, stating its "limited production" or "rare", they are poorly informed. That Jeep's value lies in its a unique chassis, it's length, that it still had a very reliable and workable motor, was still light, and still had a lot of analog features that just worked.
