Anyone have a pic of that high fence trap/1-way gate thingy?

Looking for that pic, saw it here maybe a year ago? It's some sort of a 1-way gate thing that a dude had on his high fence. Please no debating, I'm just looking for that pic.

Thanks, that's not the one I was looking for but that'll do too. Was this image running wild on the interwebz or do you know the history behind it?

I dunno... There was a thread here about a year ago (maybe it got deleted) about high fences or whatever, there was a dude who posted up a pic of a one-way gate his neighbor had installed on a high fence that was 10' inside his property line (so this guy had a low border fence on the boundary, then the neighbor backed of another 10' and put up a high fence and these one-way gates). According to the guy the GW said there's nothing he could do and there were no laws against it. EDIT: I was just looking for some pics of that thing playing devil's advocate in a thread on another forum, I tend to argue both sides of the issue depending on my mood.

There are also no laws about putting up a huge brush pile right in front of it on your side....

Yeah that's why that neighbor backed 10' off the fence I suppose. My memory is a little fuzzy, not sure if it's this cut and dry but I was trying to find the info from someone first-hand just to show that these things do exist out there, even though they're not common (thankfully).

I would meet his fence with a 10 footer of my own ! That is just plain sorry - IMO.

there is a guy down the road from me that has a high fence. 1 section about 50 yards long has a collapsable top. It turnes that section into a low fence.

No idea, but in the original thread I'm pretty sure the GW told them there's nothing he could do. I guess it couldn't be considered a trap unless you considered the whole ranch a trap.

Do you know if he ever drops that top?

Is this not a high-water gate that swings one way - the direction water would run after a flood? The ones you'd find on fence lines running through dry creeks.

I dont understand why you would want deer to enter your high fence. Krap, I work hard enough just trying to get rid of the trash I've got!

Most people putting these fences up are not wanting more deer to enter thier property
