I built one of the Malibu feeder lights as posted in DIY section, set it up Sat. PM. My oldest son and I set the aim on the lights at dark in the rain, then parked in the truck behind the box blind. About 15 minutes later a big boar coon came on to the scene, just as he was about to climb the leg of the feeder, he stopped and looked in my direction, 2 seconds later he was dispatched with a between the eyes shot. I have a Savage model SM65 .22 mag and its a tack driver.
My blind is about a 100 yds from feeder and as the night went on I found the lighting to be not enough through the scope. I am new to this feeder light thing. The light pole was set with in 30' of feeder, cost me about 40.00 total. Maybe one more would help?
