Are they on duty once they climb into the patrol vehicle at home or once they get to the park? Do they normally work 8 or 10 hour shifts? Clock in and out? Time and a half for overtime? 2 to 3 weeks vacation? TIA

On Duty once you get in the truck, 10hr shifts, over time is compensated in leave at 1.5 per hour over. You do have to do shift with Operation Lone Star on the border. That OT is paid OT. You get more leave than you can use. Longer you’re with the department the more you get. I can probably answer any questions y’all have. Send me a PM and I’ll get you my phone number to pass along if you like.
