    Swhacker broadhead did the trick

Was at the baker 3 october hunt this past week as me and 4 guys who I work with always go on a station trip to just get away. We set a new ground blind and brushed it in really well. Had a doe come in and from the start she could tell something was off. She saw the deathly black hole from the ground blind. She stomped twice and eased off about 10’ to my right. She was going to get a pass but if you stomp at me it’s game over. I grabbed my bow, saw her coming back in and came to full draw. At this point she was just teasing me and probably knew I was at full draw just like all day lease deer know. I stayed at full draw for a little over a minute. She came from my right going left, she turned up towards my 11 o’clock position, I picked a spot and when she got there I let the Mathews V3 with a 2” Swhacker eat. I aimed a little high as I was using my 20 yard single pin. Never had time to adjust to my 30. I knew I hit her hard. I gave her about 40 mins before I got out. Got out to find the arrow had little fat and the smallest amount of blood on the broadhead and the fletchings where as clean as when I put them on. Like all bow hunters I said man I know I made a good shot.
I ranged where I shot her at and it was 26 yards, didn’t have time when she was moving. A buddy showed up and we looked for blood. Good blood at first and then very little. I just knew I grazed her and she would live. Well about 20 yards from last blood we find really good blood. Stayed on the trail and found her 70 yards from where she was hit. It looked like I shot her with a rifle and where the arrow hit was the exit. Never seen anything like it before. Good memories where made like always and it’s a hunt I’ll never forget.

Yeah I couldn’t believe it. I’ve always used those broadheads and they did incredible but some guys thought I was spear or tomahawk hunting haha

Did you slice open the hide to expose the entry wound?

I did not, I did forget to mention she had a broken back left leg that was hanging on by skin but was injured a year ago most likely. So when I shot she probably dropped and dipped right and the arrow barely punctured but sliced really deep. It was just odd cause there was nothing on the arrow that showed a shot like that.
