Looking to take my Dad on an out of state elk hunting trip in either 2023 or 2024.

For those with experience, which state(s) would you recommend for first year applicants success at getting drawn for Bull tag?

Secondly, what outfitters would you recommend for good opportunity for us both to harvest bulls?

What's your budget? What type of hunt is your dad capable of doing? Is he young/healthy enough for a back country hunt in rough terrain, or does he need an easier to get around in area?

Would like to keep it around $7,500 / each.

He's 55 and still gets around pretty good, but probably wouldn't look for something in extremely rough terrain.
