Covert code black trail camera

I have several of these and a few weeks ago one of them started taking purple pictures. I knew this was an issue with the IR lens so I shook it a little to try to get that lens flap to open back up.

Well that worked but now all my pictures are blurry. I unscrewed the lens from the camera and cleaned both sides but it must be moisture or something on the in side of that little lens capsule.

Anyone dealt with this? I contacted covert customer service so see if they would sell me a replacement lens but haven't heard back.

Thought I would check out here to see if anyone else had experienced this.

Call them or strike up a chat with them....do not just email them. They are great on the phone or via chat..

I was able to talk to them on chat(thanks smart) and they want me to send it in. ;-( Said it should only be $25 though. Plus shipping both ways I guess.

I have a few older 3G. Still work as a trail cam, just won't send pics. Let me know if compatible and I'll get one out to you.

Thanks for the offer but I don't think the 3g ones are the same. I have a couple of them lying around also.

I'm having the same issue. I moved mine from one side of the pen to the other and now I have blurry pictures. I've done software updates and cleaned the lens and it's still blurry. They sent me an RMA# and labels to send in to see if they can fix it. It looks like moisture in the lens but we'll see.
