Really? I never would of known that. Thank you for clarifying that!
Where exactly would the on/off be on the switch? Could you see it from pics from the side?

For clarification purposes, I am a master electrician…

        Its a single pole switch.
The black wire and the white wire are both connected to the same place.. internally in the switch.
Personally, i refuse to backstab any devices..

And no, 3way and 4way switches wont say on/off

Is it true you don’t want a fridge or a freezer on a gfi?

Might want to clarify the on/off not being on those switches with the Master above. Lol

By code you’re kind of screwed, but yes, I wouldn’t have a fridge or freezer on a gfci.

The black (or red) pick your poison is connected to the source cable from the main panel inside the box where the light is. The other one goes directly to the light thereby completing the loop with a switch in the middle. The white is probably connected to the source and to the light but I bet it's not needed (code says you have to have it at the switch now)

It’s definitely a single pole single throw switch.

Lol….not at all. Was simply messing with you because you made the comment above to someone’s post that he had clearly followed up with the very next post correcting his statement. Then you felt compelled to clarify that you are a master electrician. I just found that humorous. My sincerest of apologies sir.

I find the electrical questions on this thread kind of humorous. In electrical if you have to ask you probably shouldn't be attempting it.

Personally, i thought everyone knew a 1301 71w Eaton was a single pole switch.
