    Remington 40x .22LR

Anyone got one laying around they shoot bench rest with?

Many years ago Howard Dietz ordered me a barreled action and bedded it in a BDL stock. By far the most accurate .22 I’ve ever owned. Got divorced and had to sell it. Have been keeping an eye out hoping I may find it for sale one day but so far no luck. Would pay a premium for it back.

      Here ya go...

I've acquired two of these over the years...only made around 700. Lots more in single shot.

The bench models should be easy to acquire & see them pop up on gunbroker & gunsinternational...keep an eye in the classifieds on rimfirecentral as well.

Wow, those are nice. I don't need any gun that bad.

I had fun up in Oklahoma this past weekend with a buddy of mine shooting his at 100yrds. I think the trigger was the coolest part. Probably broke at less than a half pound. 36 powered scope. I was shooting 5 shot groups at 100yrds that would fit in a dime. We were using the best Eley .22 ammo they make. There was no wind. That helped.

I used to shoot benchrest 22 back in the 90's / early 2000 & had a 40x all tricked out with a bbl tuner...we rarely had days when you didn't need to put the wind flags out.
