    Predicting the future

My grandfather, born in 1923 and fighting as a bombardier in a B-29 in WWII, experienced a lot of change in his lifetime. I got curious about this one day in my early 20s and asked him...Did you ever think you would have a phone that you could fit in your pocket and take with you wherever you went?

Of course, he said no. We talked about the technological advances that he never thought he would see. He passed in 2015.

I'll be 35 at the end of the year and now I am wondering, what will life be like in 30 to 50 years?

I don't think I'll see flying cars but I bet every car will be battery powered and they all have autopilot. I bet driving will be a thing of the past.

What predictions do you all have?

I’ll predict that if Jesus doesn’t come before then most will wish they weren’t alive.

My wife and I were just talking about this last night. Looking back at how different life is now than when we grew up in the 90’s is mind boggling. It’s hard to imagine that much change between now and the next 25 years.

It was hard for me to imagine carrying around a full blow computer in my pocket when I was a kid. I'm only 31! lol no telling what they'll have accomplished in the next 20 years.

What ever happens will not be surprising. We have grow accustomed to rapid changing technology. My great grandmother went from horse and buggy to landing a man on the moon. At that time no one would have imagined advancement at that rapid of a pace but now we expect it.

Lots more AI. Likely some portion of hte population will have a chip imbedded in their brains. I think we will start to see communication without having to talk.

I think there is going to be a massive shift to electric cars, based on a new battery tech is going to be found that revolutionizes the industry, whether it be smaller packs with more juice, faster charging, or a new element that works better than the current lithium. Or a structural material that can also be used to hold a charge.

I also think internet forums are going to be way more accessible. For example, there is a ton of good archery information on this site, yet its super hard to search and find. Someone will make it way easier to access. But not just for one site here or there, but across the web.

Very good point. The only thing left now is the unfathomable.

And - mark my words as this will serve as my version of hieroglyphics, one day to be discovered as gazed upon as how we communicated in what will become ancient times - Time travel will never exist in the manner of which we would hope to intend it.

                            Earth-shattering opinion, I know.
