It’s my understanding, as I was taught, that you may carry in a restricted place providing you have permission from the person in charge of the property. For example, I can carry in a school to give a firearm safety class to the students if I have permission from the school principal.
    Is that correct tvc?

If it is in writing (written authorization), yes.

Police officers can obviously carry in schools as well, and also school marshals and school guardians. Districts are able to set parameters on where marshals and guardians can carry. Some districts may only allow them to carry on the campus where they work, while others allow them to carry on any school property.

              Also retired officers.

I used to run Level 3 and higher SOs for Federal security contracts. Level 3 can openly carry on any property they have been hired under contract to provide security for. Thats literally why he was hired. They are licensed by the state and have to routinely qualify with their fire arm.

There were a few I knew I wouldn’t want to be anywhere near in an actual situation. Not that they couldn’t fire accurately but there isnt much of an education requirement if you catch my drift.
