    Anyway to scam a scammer?

I have a member on another forum who I'm pretty certain is trying to scam me. Is there anyway I can make their life less enjoyable since they chose deception as a profession instead of working for what they have.

Tell us some details. Some of the tbh devious team probably can come up with something.

Is cat facts still a thing? Wouldn't that be too easy to block?

A member PMed that another member has some binos that he is trying to sale with a link to supposedly his email. The member with the binos responded rather quickly and just so happen to have the exact binos I wanted. Perfect! I ask how much and does he accept Paypal. Great price but only takes Zelle. No problem once again but I ask him to PM me from his actual username so I can be sure that's who I'm talking too. He assured me he has a great reputation on the site (which the supposed member actually does) that he will PM me later in the night but is worried it will be late. I tell him no problem I'm actually working nights anyway. We go back and forth a few times but never a PM. I woke up this morning and no PM. I text him and no response. So I texted him saying that I tried sending payment but it didn't go through( which I didn't). Immediately he started responding again. I'm pretty certain it's the member that originally PMed me scamming me with another members good reputation. Just so happens the binos he is selling me he is using the exact same pictures that I found online from an old listing in 2019. The person I'm talking to said they're the original owner so it's possible he never found a buyer but I'm not sure how you can't sign on to a website and PM me but you can go back and forth via email and text messages.

Absolutely a scam thats hitting all the forums right now. Problem is, they will hijack accounts so it appears they have good history.

Ask to pick up in person. And when he gives you a random location, say Great I am supposed to be there on a work trip next week and when should we meet? I’ll bring cash. If it’s a scam he will flounder. If it’s real you’ll be a jerk for lying [emoji1781]

Tell him you are Leo and would rather meet in person.

Tell the dude you can meet him in the Wal-Mart parking lot at midnight. You’ll be driving a yellow corvette.

Tell him you prefer to use talk via phone so you can have a conversation. If he agrees, at least you will have a contact to trace if things go wrong. If he declines Then he ain't worth dealin with.
I hate texting. Can't really have a conversation via text.
