G.A.S. Going After Something

I’m going after something this weekend, just don’t know what yet.

We’ve been seeing a ram that I’m fairly certain is either a mouflon or some kind of hybrid…

Then there is always a chance at an aoudad…

Slim chance but I did hear an elk bugle a few times this morning…

We don’t usually see them on this side of our property but there are some chocolate fallow that would look awesome beside the white one on the wall…

It is whitetail season so there is that…

Then if all else fails there is big, nasty, spotted boar we started calling “stanky leg” (he has a weird looking patch on one of his legs). Problem is he is smart…

Whatever it is… I just want some LDPs.
I’ll try to update throughout the weekend.

Wind is mostly in my favor, but is kind of swirling around some.

Well I did see an aoudad but never got within range. Had a few whitetail but no shooters. Don’t laugh too hard at the picture. Tried to zoom in on my phone and apparently I suck at pictures.

I started at the front part of our property and got to watch a really nice sunrise. Was hopeful to see something but only small whitetail.
Going to take a lunch break and then go back to the back side to go after one of these rams.

Got to sit in the stand with my dad this evening. We sat there and BS’d, scared everything except one little doe away. It was awesome.
One time we hunted together at the same feeder. He was in a leaning tree with a shotgun and I was in a chair at the bottom with my bow. We had a group of pigs come in and he waited until I shot to shoot whatever was left. We smoked 2 pigs and it was hilarious.
I love hunting with my dad. Every good hunting story I have, he was involved somehow.
