    Talk about creeping you out!

Wednesday I went and had my will and other documents notarized. When done, I went back out to the truck, cranked it up and turned the radio on. The song that was on sounded like something from a funeral home! I looked at the display and the name of the song was Funeral For A Friend! It is a lead in to Love Lies Bleeding by Elton John. The timing gave me the heebi jeebies!

Sure does. That reminds me of years ago, I had a late night car accident and my head got the better of a windshield. When they wheeled me in for xrays and stuff, "I Fall to Pieces" by Patsy Kline came on. I said, "they're playing my song", and the nurse cracked up

That would have be driving a little more careful on the way home.

I agree with the God has a sense of humor. With all you have been through as of late, it probably wasn't too funny.

I bet we all have one of those stories. Mine was exactly this day many years ago. It was TX/OU weekend and my best friend and roommate and I were coming back home from college to Rockwall. We were driving a bit too fast and as we came over a hill, an elderly couple were halfway into our lane as they cut the corner. We bailed off a bridge over a small creek. Luckily we hit a bolder that flipped us so we sailed upside down and backward. When we came to a stop we were both sitting on the windshield (no seatbelts). We just looked at each other as the song that was playing was Black Sabbath "Die Young".

If Elton John was playing on my stereo, I creeped out, POed, sick to my stomach. Someone would have to have gotten into my vehicle and changed the station. That alone would have me POed.

Factoring out that the freak was playing on my stereo, that would be a freaky situation.

I listen to classic rock, and yes, they play Elton John every once in a while. I've always kind of liked his music.

Mine was not as creepy but kind of funny. My daughter and I walked into the barn one day, and I reached over and turned the radio on as I normally do. Nothing happened for just long enough for me to say "what the heck is wrong with my radio?". It came on, and Aaron Tippin answered with "there ain't nothin wrong with the radio". My daughter and I can't hear that song without laughing now.

Some pretty wild things happen sometimes. My buddy is always singing, always. Last year we're out huntin and get in the truck and out of the blue he starts singing Mr. Brightside by The Killers. He sang a verse and turned on the truck and the radio was playing Mr. Brightside. Not only that but it was the next verse like it picked up where my buddy had left off. I asked if he was picking up the radio station in his head now.

Funeral for a friend/Loves lies bleeding is one of my favorite EJ songs.
Madman across the water is probably my favorite though.
Strange coincidences with music hit me from time to time.
