Where would you go? DIY public whitetails

I am finding myself off work for 10 days in early November. I’m kicking around the idea of going on an out of state hunt for whitetails, archery. This would need to be an OTC state with access to public. I’m no newbie when it come to hunting or public hunting. I’m just undecided on where. Where would you go with ten days off?

PS.. I have a hunting boat, camper, Mobile stand setups and just about most other gadgets needed.

nebraska and missouri are OTC with quite a bit of public land and a chance at big deer.

      I'd say Missouri.

I went to NE a few years ago but for Mule deer. It was a blast. I am thinking NE or MO but open to opinions.

Have you hunted any public there?

Missouri. Lots of good public land all over.

I have in the Mark Twain National Forest. If I had 10 days I would head to the northern part of the state.

I can't speak to public land whitetails as I've never hunted them but it would def. be somewhere where the leaves are changing colors.

Hunted Ohio last year and absolutely fell in love with it

ive hunted in scotland county MO, about 10 miles from iowa. while we were there our outfitters son killed a great buck on a public spot. would have been a 150s 10pt but had an injury and 1 side was smaller and deformed a bit.

i used to hunt MO quite a bit about 15 years ago. i was able to take a couple nice bucks, usually got a doe or two every trip, and was able to get a 156" slick 10pt one year. make sure you don't show up during rifle season. its during the rut. i would go last week of October

I have our own private land in North west Missouri I hunt, but I lived in Columbia for 4 years.

                        Sending pm your way.

                          These would be my choices.
