Never heard that one. I may try that this week. Gold fish eat the corn meal too?

A bottle of this will clean it up and not hurt the animals

Clorox bleach. You can look up the rates online.

I put shiner minnows in ours and they stay fairly clear. Also, the minnows reproduced so I always have access to bait if I want it. Started with about 20 or so in one tank. Now I have dozens across 3 tanks after occasional transplants.

Go to Walmart or a pet smart and buy a half dozen gold fish and put them in there. They will keep your algae down

Its a 35,000 gallon tank.. We looked the amount of goldfish required to keep it clean and the cost of that many was way more than we wanted to spend. Plus they will probably die in the winter..
