I'm planning on going on medicare with a supplement plan in January. I'll still be working but I'm not sure about premium payments. Do they bill you monthly?

Make an appointment with the SS office. They will tell you what you need to know for sure. I know I didnt pay into SS therefore I pay my own monthly medicare payment which is monthly auto pay.

I'm not planning on drawing SS yet. I was just wondering about payment methods for insurance.

I believe ours is taken out with bank drafts. The longer you wait to draw SS, the more you will get.

Automatic withdrawal monthly. I'm with mutual of Omaha and it's 109.90 per month. Wife is with same company, has had several sugeries and has never paid more than the 233 dollar deductible on medicare.

I just use my bank's bill pay once a month - pretty simple

Don't forget your "Plan D" drug plan.

We are on regular Medicare and I believe Plan F which I do not think is offered anymore. Between my wife and I we both have had cataract surgery, both eyes, major shoulder and arm surgery for me plus regular doctor visits. Have not paid a penny for any of it. Prescription drugs are cheap also.

I have a 20 year friend that sells Medicare plans. He will answer all your questions with no pressure. PM my if you want his name and contact info.

I have been using him for my wife's coverage for several years.

I did the math and I found out that 81 yo is the break even point no matter which way i was to go. I'm going to take it at 65 and 3 months. You never know when the expiration date will show up. My wife has had rheumatoid arthritis for almost 20 years so her life expectancy is not great.

I think this was a Medicare question and not a SS question -
